Should I learn French or Italian
I am a postgraduate student from a good university, I want to learn a language to help me advance in social interactions in the future, I not sure which helps me more. I am into fashion, I am a male and I prefer Italian fashion over French fashion. I am good at language but I want to pick up one that is more similar to English, thus easy to learn, I heard French is similar to English but I not sure.
So overall, three points (1) for social reasons (2) fashion (doesnt matter that much though) (3) and how difficult it is to learn
French is moderately easy to speak. Anglophones have some trouble losing their accents though. English is a very colored language, your accent is strong. French has a more of a lackof accent, it is a clear and pure sound in comparison and anglophones often find it difficult to just speak the words clearly without all the weird voice intonations.
Writing french is another story though. It an extremely difficult language to write. The grammar is complex and takes years to master. Grammatical rules are intricate, have lots of exceptions, and strict rules. You definitively have to be motivated if you want to learn to write well.
Italian has a coloured sound when spoken, like english. It probably easier for an anglophone to speak italian than french because you don have to speak a clear sound. Italian is a more lenient language than french, both in speech and writing. Sentences are easier to form, and you have much more liberty about the way you want to make them. The writing is not as easy as english, but definitively a lot less difficult than french. French can be a nightmare to learn to write. Italian, not so.
Both french and italian don look like english. Some words will be similar to english, but in both cases you would need to learn most words from scratch again. Though it worth mentioning that french words are longer, and more complicated. Italian ones are shorter and easier to write.相关的主题文章:
