We have heard about Prospect Park, but where will we find these two soap operas? On Hulu, YouTube, Fancast or Netflix? On Prospect Park's own website, which I cannot seem to find? Fans need to be advised of the distribution channel so that they can make preparations. If fans do not know where to find these shows,フォリフォリ 時計, they will get lost in the shuffle; tech savvy viewers might go to Hulu or YouTube but the average viewer may simply forget about these fine shows. It also remains to be seen if the talk shows that ABC is using to replace these shows are even viable, or what viewers truly want.
What we do know is that Prospect Park plans on delivering the shows , but that could simply be a euphemism for one of many different distribution methods. NBC and ABC are down to showing but a single soap opera, and CBS has as many as both networks combined. That leaves only 4 soap operas, in . Just how long the 4 remaining soap operas can stay around remains to be seen; somehow I think that either NBC or ABC will get out of the business before CBS does. Go into any hospital, any work place where the majority of the employees are women, and someone has a CBS soap opera playing in the background; NBC and ABC never had that type of loyal following.
If Prospect Park does well,Fitflop 靴, there might be a remote possibility that these soap operas reappear on television in the future if they could assemble their own "UHF" network through independent stations carrying them on digital subchannels. This is how stations like The Cool TV, Retro TV, and Antenna TV are able to exist now. These are low power stations,フルラ バッグ, rarely in full HD, and at the moment offer content that pales in comparison to what the major networks offer now,フルラ ハンドバッグ, but they are networks that exist. For that person that does not have Internet access, or access that is too slow to reliably offer these soaps in HD (if they will even be shown in HD online), it could extent the reach of these shows. If Prospect Park delivers content that can only be shown in America, you can be sure that someone will find a way around it and throw the shows up on YouTube illegally, if that does not end up happening anyway. The only content producers that seem to do well online are amateurs and the only professionally delivered content that does well are unusually small 15 minute productions such as . People do not have the same attention span online that they have in front of their television sets. At the same time, ABC simply could have allowed these shows to meet their demise; it does bring up an interesting question, in the future could shows that are not viable and profitable over the air or on cable experience a second life online? We are about to find out within the next few months ...
By now I am sure that all of you have heard that All My Children and One Live to Live will only be available online through . I also heard today that Susan Lucci will no longer be with All My Children, due to a breakdown in contract negotiations. There are already a plethora of old, discontinued soaps available online illegally through YouTube, and SOAPnet has five soaps, as well as shows like Gilmore Girls and The OC, and the original Beverly Hills 90210. What remains to be seen is whether any company will create a viable,バレンシアガ 財布, legitimate online presence for fans of discontinued soap operas, and just successful will Prospect Park be in continuing the legacy of All My Children and One Live to Live.
